Bryce Mitchell Accuses Khamzat Chimaev of Missing Weight for UFC 328

Bryce Mitchell has sparked fresh controversy ahead of UFC 328, publicly alleging that Khamzat Chimaev did not actually make weight for his middleweight clash with Sean Strickland in Newark, New Jersey.

Chimaev officially weighed in at 185 pounds early Friday for his fight with Strickland, which headlines UFC 328 this Saturday night inside Prudential Center. Despite the official number, Mitchell took to social media to dispute the result and question how the weigh-in was handled.

"That dude didn’t make that weight," Mitchell said. He added, "There’s no convincing me bro... it’s all bullsh-t." Mitchell went further, claiming, "Khamzat gets special treatment... he didn’t make that weight and I think Sean’s champ already," and, "They don’t want him to win because they can’t control what he says and he loves America."

UFC 328 features Chimaev and Strickland in a grudge match between former training partners turned bitter rivals, with reports suggesting Chimaev had to cut 46 pounds for his first official title defense. In the co-main event, UFC flyweight champion Joshua Van is scheduled to defend his title against top contender Tatsuro Taira.
