Brando Pericic added another violent finish to his resume on Saturday, stopping Shamil Gaziev by knockout at UFC Perth.
The heavyweight clash was described as a back-and-forth slugfest, with both fighters landing damaging shots before Pericic sealed it late in the second round. He dropped Gaziev with a right hook, prompting the referee to wave off the bout at 3:44 of Round 2.
The victory marked Pericic’s third win in the UFC, all coming by knockout. After the fight, he doubled down on his trademark aggression, declaring, "I said it once, I said it again, I’m going to knock out every c*nt in this division," and added, "I’ll fight anybody. The UFC is going to Serbia, ‘The Balkan Bear’ has to be on that one!."
Pericic is known for first-round finishes and an aggressive fighting style and is considered one of the most exciting heavyweights on the UFC roster.
