Bo Nickal is set for a high-profile wrestling showdown, as he’s scheduled to face reigning NCAA champion Max McEnelly at RAF 12 on Aug. 22 at Rocket Arena in Cleveland.
The booking between Nickal and McEnelly was announced Monday and will see a UFC contender meet one of college wrestling’s top active stars at the promotion’s twelfth event.
Nickal is a former national champion wrestler at Penn State and a UFC contender who previously competed at RAF’s inaugural event in August 2025, defeating Jacob Cardenas by points. Earlier this year, a planned bout between Nickal and Yoel Romero was canceled after Romero missed weight and Nickal declined to compete.
Most recently, Nickal knocked out Kyle Daukaus at UFC Freedom 250 on the South Lawn of the White House.
McEnelly wrestles for the University of Minnesota and captured the 2026 NCAA National Championship at 184 pounds. He is also a two-time NCAA All-American, adding extra intrigue to his meeting with Nickal at RAF 12 in Cleveland.
