Bo Nickal is setting his sights on UFC gold as he prepares to face Kyle Daukaus at UFC Freedom 250 on the White House’s South Lawn.

Nickal meets Daukaus on Sunday, June 14, 2026, in Washington, D.C., as part of an event scheduled to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary.

In a recent exchange with Chael Sonnen about what should come next, Sonnen said, "The world champion. I think it’s time," to which Nickal responded, "I agree. I think I’m ready to go," and later added, "You tell me," when pressed on the subject.

Nickal, described as a three-time NCAA Division I national wrestling champion, entered the UFC with a 3-0 professional record and was initially given favorable matchups, racking up four wins in the Octagon before a step up in competition. He suffered his first professional defeat against Reinier de Ridder, but rebounded at UFC 322 at Madison Square Garden with a head kick knockout.

Confident in his current form and training, Nickal said, "I think I’m training with the best guys in the world. I know where I’m at sparring with guys at American Top Team, and I’m proving it to myself there that I’m ready to compete at that level. I think that it is just a matter of time. I’m going to do my thing."
