Bo Nickal made the most of his opportunity on the UFC’s White House card, stopping veteran Kyle Daukaus with a first-round knockout/technical knockout.
Nickal closed the show at 4:34 of the opening frame after dropping Daukaus with a straight left followed by a right hand, securing his second consecutive knockout and moving his professional record to 9-1.
“It feels amazing,” Nickal said after the victory. “I’m grateful to be here. I visualized about 100 different ways to finish that guy and that was one of them. Hard work pays off. I’m a wrestler, I’ve learned how to do a couple more things.”
Referee Jason Herzog was the third man in the Octagon for the bout, which capped Nickal’s successful push to compete on the high-profile UFC White House event.
