Beneil Dariush returns to action against rising contender Quillan Salkilld in the co-main event of UFC Fight Night 275 on Saturday at RAC Arena in Perth, Australia.
Dariush, 23-7-1 in MMA and 17-7-1 in the UFC, steps back into the cage after a 16-second first-round knockout loss to Benoit Saint-Denis. He has won one of his last four fights, with his most recent victory coming by unanimous decision over Renato Moicano.
Salkilld enters the matchup with an 11-1 MMA record and a 4-0 mark in the UFC, riding an 11-fight winning streak. He is coming off a first-round submission win over Jamie Mullarkey and has gone the distance just once in the UFC, finishing all his other Octagon opponents in the first round.
Oddsmakers have Salkilld as a sizable favorite at -500, with Dariush listed at +360 via FanDuel. The two lightweights are expected to make their walks to the cage at approximately 9:10 a.m. ET, with the fight streaming live on Paramount+.
One reference to Dariush heading into the bout simply called him "Longback Benny."
