A promising bantamweight matchup is on its way to Oklahoma City, as Austin Bashi and Jose Delgado are scheduled to meet at UFC Fight Night 281 on July 18.
The bout is set for the Paycom Center and was reported to MMA Junkie by two people with knowledge of the booking who requested anonymity.
Bashi enters the fight with a 14-1 professional record and is 1-1 in the UFC. He dropped his promotional debut to Christian Rodriguez by unanimous decision before rebounding in August with a submission win over John Yannis for his first UFC victory.
Delgado brings an 11-2 professional mark and a 3-1 UFC record into the matchup. His octagon resume includes knockout wins over Connor Matthews and Hyder Amil, as well as a split decision victory over Andre Fili in March.
Bashi arrived to the UFC with significant hype from regional scene scouts online, while Delgado is looking to bounce back from a unanimous decision loss to Nathaniel Wood in October in a highly regarded fight.
