Austin Bashi walked out of UFC Fight Night 281 with more than just a loss on his record, revealing facial fractures suffered during his unanimous decision defeat to Jose Delgado.
The bout went down Saturday at the Paycom Center in Oklahoma City, where Bashi was dropped by a punch in the opening round. His right eye swelled and gradually closed as the fight wore on, and post-fight examinations showed small fractures to his orbital bone and nose.
Bashi later indicated he intends to fight again, saying he will "be back soon."
Since joining the UFC roster in January 2025 off Dana White's Contender Series, Bashi has gone 1-2 in the promotion and now sits at 14-2 in his professional MMA career. Delgado’s win improved his own record to 12-2 MMA and 4-1 in the UFC.
