17-04-26

Arman Tsarukyan and Ryan Garcia are locked in a public dispute over an unpaid $40,000 bet stemming from a body-shot challenge.

According to the details, Tsarukyan wagered $40,000 that Garcia could not drop his friend with a body shot. Tsarukyan claims he won the bet and says Garcia is refusing to pay him.

Garcia, for his part, claims Tsarukyan lied about his friend's combat experience and says he is being scammed, pushing back on the idea that he owes the money.

The betting spat surfaced as part of a broader Midnight Mania-style roundup that also highlighted Cody Durden expressing interest in another short-notice fight against Allan Nascimento, as well as the note that Joel Alvarez and Benoit Saint Denis, once scheduled to fight, are now training partners in France. The roundup additionally referenced Ronda Rousey attempting to lure Paddy Pimblett to a Netflix MMA project amid tensions with the UFC, and a UFC legend being among executives fired from ONE Championship during a roster purge.
