Arman Tsarukyan delivered a commanding performance at RAF 9 on Saturday, defeating Mugzy by 16-5 technical fall.
The match was stopped when Tsarukyan built a 10-point lead, capping a bout in which he surrendered an early four-point throw before storming back with multiple takedowns and turns. The win keeps Tsarukyan undefeated under the RAF banner.
“I feel great,” Tsarukyan said afterward. “I knew I’m going to win. I’ve got to give a little bit to these guys. Shout out to Mugzy. Thank you for coming.”
Looking ahead to the rest of the card, Tsarukyan turned his attention to the co-main event, where Colby Covington is scheduled to face Chris Weidman. “We’ve got tonight Colby Covington, I hope he’s going to win and I’m going to whoop his ass. I’m going to show who is the best MMA wrestler on the mats.”
Tsarukyan is described as a top-ranked UFC lightweight contender and is quickly becoming the face of the organization.
