UFC star Alex Pereira is stepping onto a new stage, landing the main villain role in the upcoming A24 action/horror/thriller movie "Onslaught."
Pereira, a former UFC middleweight and light heavyweight champion, will make his film debut as a genetically engineered super soldier villain called "The Butcher" in "Onslaught," which is set for theatrical release on Sept. 4.
The project adds another major chapter to a busy year for Pereira. He holds a professional record of 13-3 in MMA and 10-2 in the UFC, and is scheduled to fight Ciryl Gane for an interim heavyweight title on June 14. A win in that bout would make him the first three-division champion in UFC history.
Filming for "Onslaught" took place in 2025, largely in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and surrounding areas. Adria Arjona plays a former sniper and mother trying to protect her family and home in "Onslaught."
