Abus Magomedov made a statement at UFC Baku, submitting Michal Oleksiejczuk in the first round with a guillotine choke.
The middleweight bout took place Saturday, June 27, 2026, at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku, Azerbaijan, and was broadcast live on Paramount+. Magomedov entered the fight as a small betting favorite and quickly backed it up.
Magomedov hurt Oleksiejczuk with an elbow and punches before taking the action to the ground and locking up the fight-ending choke.
Magomedov was coming off a submission loss to Joe Pyfer in October 2024, while Oleksiejczuk had found consistent success since moving down to the 185-pound middleweight division, adding further weight to Magomedov’s first-round finish.
