Alice Pereira delivered a brutal second-round knockout of Hailey Cowan on the UFC Vegas 115 prelims, announcing herself in violent fashion at Meta Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The 20-year-old Pereira ended the women’s bantamweight bout with a crushing left knee followed by ground-and-pound, forcing the referee to step in and wave off the fight. The event was broadcast live on Paramount+.
Cowan had early success, including a major takedown in the center of the Octagon, before Pereira turned the tide and closed the show with the emphatic finish.
Pereira, who was referred to as "Golden Girl" on the "Prelims" broadcast, is not related to former UFC champion Alex Pereira, despite sharing the same last name.
